We created Chief’s Chili to mimic one of our favorite restaurants, Tweed’s famous Bison Chili. I named it “Chief’s” from the days of the Buffalo Hunt. We’re fortunate to have an entire herd of buffalo just down the road, grazing in an open field over many acres. It’s an amazing site to see, and I can only imagine the great chiefs of the past leading the hunt on the open plains. This recipe is very easy to cook, & is a great addition to our other chili recipes, “Lone Star Chili,” featured on page 138 of my best selling book, Remedy Recipes, & “Winter Heat,” a spicy chili with a kick featured here at my Recipe of the Month tab on our website, (from December 1st, 2017.) I was actually going to post a breakfast recipe for this month, but Chief’s Chili was so delicious, and appropriate for the cold Winter months, I reckoned I’d post it first!
It can be a protein option for any meal. Portions: 4 oz. for women / 8 oz. for men.
We hope that you enjoy it as much or more than our other two popular chili recipes!!! Keep warm & enjoy!!!
Also, be sure to visit Tweed’s Restaurant & Buffalo Bar located at 17 East Main Street in historic Riverhead, New York, for some of their famous Bison Chili!!! It’s delicious!!!
