Nutrition & Exercise: The Percentages

In my 23 years in the Fitness Industry, I’ve seen many fads come & go, both in the fields of exercise & nutrition. One constant & ‘universal’ truth that I learned early in my career was that 75-80% of Fitness is nutrition, leaving only a small percentage to exercise. I truly have a passion for exercise, and I still enjoy every second that I work out; the self-challenge, the intensity, the pump, the soreness, the physical aftereffects, the mental aftereffects, all of it. There are so many benefits to exercise, yet so many more benefits to proper nutrition. I am thrilled to see that so many people in the last 20 years have begun to make exercise a part of their lives, yet the more important area of Fitness that so many neglect is nutrition. I’ve seen people work out for hours, and then go out for fast food, as they wondered why they were not achieving results.
I enjoy the part of my job that provides knowledge, understanding, and revelation to those who want to know the way to see the results, and who seek my help in providing them with the structure & the path. When you give your body the right nutrients & building blocks, you begin to reap the benefits of all that time that was put into the gym. By combining both nutrition & exercise, you can & you will see the greatest benefits for whatever your fitness level is. Your body is like a machine, and it runs better when you have the correct fuel. Proper nutrition will improve your workouts, strength, endurance, & recovery. I think this often overlooked area of Fitness is important to bring to light. Keep in mind that 75-80% of Fitness is nutrition in your future Fitness endeavors, and be sure that you are seeing the results that you desire.
Have a Happy 4th of July, everyone! Please consider reading the Declaration Of Independence at some point on this day. It’s what we’re celebrating, and it is truly one of the most brilliant writings in the history of the world, and it’s ours. Humanity made a gigantic leap forward that day, and I consider it a miracle. God bless us all, & God bless America. May we restore her greatness & her Glory! Glory, Glory, Hallelujah, His Truth is marching on…
Until next month, enjoy the sunshine, & long days at the beach!
