In times such as these, when so much is out of our hands and out of our control, there is one thing that we can control. That one think is our attitude. If we keep our cool in situations like this, we can focus on the positive things like clean eating and exercise, instead of retreating into the laziness and the comfort food-downward spiral. This is the area of our lives that we have control over. And, in the midst of all the chaos of a work-stoppage, an economic slow-down, and a self-quarantine, there’s one thing that we finally have. We have TIME. We have time for family. We have time to read. We have time to garden. We have time for a walk on the beach. We have time to write. We have time for home improvement projects. We have time to organize. We have time to prepare. We have time to cook. We have time to exercise.
When we view our circumstances from a positive outlook, the situation is not as bleak as it appears. Our attitude determines how we arrive at the end of this journey. It is the thing that guides us through tough times. Even though we currently face a hardship, most of us have the comforts of home, methods of communication, and with some improvisation, even a way to continue some work, albeit abbreviated. Usually, in circumstances such as these, such a great number of people are not directly affected. A pandemic is different because in our well-traveled world it spreads to everywhere and affects everyone. That’s why it’s so important to remember that we’re all in the same boat. You are not alone. We are all in this together, and we will get through it together. Some of us have ice water in our veins and can handle high-pressure situations better than others. Some people panic more easily, or fall into despair. Those of us who have better coping mechanisms have to be the calming, guiding voice helping others to safety and uplifting them to a more positive outlook and attitude.
So, do not fear. Do not despair. Have hope and pray. We’re all in this together. We will survive this. Focus on the positive things that we can do with our time. My hope is that we will all learn from this experience. We can take what we learn and begin to appreciate the little things in life that we often take for granted.
I want to thank our medical personnel, our first responders, postal employees, bank employees, truckers & delivery employees, grocery & supply store employees, and those who are out there keeping things going in the right direction.
I want to thank the clients that kept us personally afloat with Online Nutrition Programs & Personal Training via ZOOM. I am so grateful to be able to do some work from home. With gyms being closed due to the state mandate, we had concerns in regards to keeping our business operating in strictly an online capacity. We sincerely thank you for your patronage.
I will continue praying for your safety and the safety and health of your families. I will continue to pray for us all to get through this and to have a positive outlook and attitude.
Please pray for those who are sick, and for the souls of those who have passed on.
Be well, be safe, be civil, & may God bless America.
Until next month,
with hopes of Good News,
& S.U.R.V.I.V.A.L.
